Ponying Lesson
Master the art of leading two horses at once with expert guidance.
Service Description
Ponying lessons are designed for riders who want to learn the skills needed to safely handle and control another horse while mounted. Students will learn proper positioning, how to pick up and release a horse, how to maintain control of both horses, and how to respond when a horse crowds, pulls, lags behind, becomes strong, or changes position unexpectedly. Lessons also focus on communication, timing, awareness, and understanding how your own horse affects the horse you are ponying. As you progress, we’ll introduce different horses, situations, and more realistic racetrack scenarios to help build confidence and practical experience. There is no set number of lessons or fixed timeline. You choose how often you come, and instruction progresses based on your experience, comfort, and readiness. Whether your goal is to work as a pony person, build toward outriding, or simply become more capable handling horses from horseback, we meet you where you are and build from there.
