About the Role
Groom needed at The Thoroughbred Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Responsibilities include morning, noon, and afternoon feeding, cleaning stalls, grooming, general care of the horses, and running horses when they race.
A dorm option at Keeneland is available.
Pay is flexible and can be discussed based on the right person and experience. Additional bonuses are available for races, sales, and other opportunities.
This would be a good opportunity for someone dependable who wants hands-on experience caring for a small group of racehorses.
Requirements
-Horse handling experience preferred
-Must be comfortable handling Thoroughbreds
-Reliable and able to work independently
-Able to complete normal barn duties including stalls, grooming, feeding, and handling horses
-Must be available for morning, noon, and afternoon responsibilities
-Ability to assist with horses on race days as needed
