Join Iron Rose Academy in Lexington on Thursday, October 29 for a special Breeders’ Cup Week Workshop designed to give participants an immersive look at several different sides of the Thoroughbred racing industry.
We’ll begin the morning at Keeneland during Breeders’ Cup training, where participants will watch horses prepare while learning how to better understand what is happening on the track — including works versus gallops, workmates, rider position, equipment, training routines, pole locations, clocking works and general morning-training procedures. We’ll also be joined by a member of Keeneland’s Equine Safety team for an educational conversation.
Participants will meet at Keeneland at 7:00 AM. After the Keeneland portion, Iron Rose Academy will provide transportation between each scheduled stop throughout the remainder of the day in our 15-passenger van. Additional meeting and parking instructions will be sent to registered participants before the event.
From Keeneland, we’ll head to the Track Kitchen for breakfast and conversation…
