Presented by Iron Rose Academy, this small-group experience takes guests inside the working world of Ellis Park—from the quiet intensity of morning training to the preparation and activity that bring a race day to life.
During morning training, you’ll learn how to watch a horse train, understand what’s happening on the track, discover the roles of exercise riders, pony riders, outriders, trainers and other horsemen, and see firsthand how Thoroughbreds are prepared for competition.
But the story doesn’t stop when training ends.

Go behind the scenes to watch Thoroughbreds train, learn the difference between galloping and breezing, discover the roles of riders, trainers, outriders and gate crews, and explore approved backside areas.
